Description
The most generously sculpted seating available! Designed specially to fit the Freewheeler and provide the greatest ergonomic advantage for touring quality support. Wide, sculpted seating positions create a larger area of contact for excellent weight distribution. Shaped like your body to eliminate pressure points and give long lasting support that will keep you in the saddle all day.
Corbin’s rigid fibertech basepan provides a perfect fit and is built low to hug the frame and conceal any gaps in the bodywork for a clean look. This allowed us to create a foam shape that keeps you in the sweet spot which provides a more positive feeling of control. Deep, supportive bucket design gives five inches of vertical support. All of this adds up to a very relaxed posture and comfortable ride so you’ll be able to go out and put serious miles under the tires.
Inside, our exclusive Comfort Cell foam provides firm support that stays resilient indefinitely. We cast this special Closed Cell material nearly twice as firm as the stock foam to support your body weight. Soft foam allows your body to fall through it the longer you sit on it… once compressed, soft foam offers no resilience and you start to experience discomfort. That’s why we always say “firm is a good thing!”
Both seating areas are designed to work with an optional Corbin backrest for added comfort and support. Use a single backrest transferred front to back as needed or order two for full time use. Corbin backrests are fully adjustable to fit a wide variety of statures and riding postures with a variety of models available to suit your taste. Internal hardware keeps a clean look. Up front, our internal hardware allows for adjustment of the backrest fore – aft as well as the standard angle adjustment. Spring loaded fold down feature makes it easier to mount the bike.
Corbin’s Dual Tour saddle also works with the OEM removable sissybar if you prefer. Use the Corbin Dual Tour with the HD pad on the sissybar or choose either of our coordinated passenger backrests pads. Our standard model offers a nice wide, contoured contact patch for excellent support. Corbin’s passenger armrest not only offers maximized body support, but also provides armrests for real touring luxury. This design is especially helpful on the Freewheeler as it helps your passenger to easily resist the centrifugal force felt on a trike during cornering. Comfort AND security!
Passenger seating area has been maximized for a greater area of body contact and best weight distribution. When optional heated seating is ordered, we include two separate heater switches so that rider and passenger heat can be controlled individually. Passenger’s switch is conveniently located on the left side of the saddle.
All components include genuine leather seating inserts for a truly luxurious ride. For a very classy and subtle touch we recommend our standard natural grain leather seating with coordinating vinyl sides. We prefer leather seating because it is durable, will breathe with your body and adapt with the foam shape as it breaks in. Vinyl side panels help to support the foam shape and keep the cover looking nice longer. A wide variety of color and texture options are available by special order at no additional charge. Shown above with Candy Red welts and red stitching to coordinate with the OEM paint.
Dual Touring saddle offers the option of electric seat heaters for an added bit of luxury. Wiring easily into your Freewheeler, the Corbin seat heaters are controlled via conveniently located switches along each seating position on the left side. Temperature is maintained automatically by integrated hardware and all components come pre-built into the saddle. You just install the Corbin supplied pigtail and enjoy the warmth on those chilly morning rides.
Simple installation uses a tongue in the front and a single bolt into your chassis at the rear. If you opt for electric heat, our included wiring pigtail will integrate with the oem fuse box. No cutting or splicing required.
