BMW created a legendary adventure machine in the GS and Corbin has been a big part of the Adventure Bike world for decades. At the BMW National recently, we heard a lot of requests for a front seat that would work with the BMW rear… You asked and we heard you! In fact, we’ve made THREE front seats in order to provide a perfect solution to riders of all statures. Now we’ve added a passenger saddle and the option of electric heat for these saddles!
Naturally Corbin has perfected the ergonomics with a more sculpted seating platform that conforms to the shape of your body. This provides better support with more square inches of body contact. Of course we build them up with our Comfort Cell foam for firm support that lasts all day.
In order to make the best possible seating we opted to create a Low, Standard and High model rather than using the BMW adjustable brackets. This way we could optimise seating for each position and assure we keep a properly neutralized platform. Don’t worry though, the Corbin front seats are still simple to install and integrate with your factory key lock. Each one of our solo models will work with your factory rear seat or the companion passenger saddle. Our rear seat will also work with your factory front seat if desired.

Notice how the shaping of all components is designed to emulate the shape of your body. This gives excellent support for longer range and eliminates hot spots. Neutralized seating helps to curb sliding in the saddle which greatly reduces rider fatigue. We include genuine leather seating for a perch that breathes with your body and enhances comfort further. There is a large variety of color and material options to choose from at no extra cost.
We have built electric seat heaters into our saddle designs for an added luxurious touch. Conveniently located switches on the left side of the saddle makes it easy to operate. Temperature is controlled and maintained automatically to provide luxurious heat on those chilly mornings. To add a touch of class and conceal the heating pads, we use a tasteful twin stitch pattern in the leather seating areas.
Corbin’s leather seating will perform well for many years and adapt with the foam shape during break in for a personalized fit. Over time it will develop its own unique character just like your leather jacket. Just be sure to care for it properly with a quality conditioner like Corbin’s Saddle Cream. Your new saddle will be your favorite investment for many years to come!
 Perfecting the Ergos: When Mike picked up his GS, he carefully evaluated the ergonomics and did a lot of seat time to determine the best riding position… or as we call it, the Sweet Spot. Our seat models plant you in this perfect spot which gives you the best feeling of integration with your bike and comfort value. Some have found the reach to the bars to be a tad too much in this position, but moving the seating forward would change the seating which isn’t ideal. We suggest going with the Tour Performance bar risers from HeliBar. They provide an additional 2″ in height and pull back 2 1/4″ to the rider. Sets the new 1250 GS just about perfect!
